SINGAPORE : 'Building Lives, Connecting Communities' is the theme of this year's World Blood Donor Day.
Some 2,000 participants were at East Coast Park on Wednesday building sandcastles.
Organisers say this symbolises the hope and new lease of life for those who need blood to stay alive. "
