THE Victorian Government will push for a radical overhaul of the nation's multibillion-dollar charity sector that has been described as 'archaic' and 'chaotic'.
Growing concern about the transparency of charities comes as Australians give more than ever — a staggering $11 billion in 2004, a jump of 58 per cent in real terms over the previous seven years, according to a landmark report, Giving Australia."
