Channelnewsasia.com: "SINGAPORE : Most Singaporeans would look forward to taking leave from work and going on a holiday, but a growing number are taking leave to do volunteer work, with the blessing of their employers.

CapitaLand is the first company to have signed on to Comcare Connections, an initiative by the Community Development, Youth and Sports Ministry to get companies involved in social projects.

Soon after graduation, 24-year-old Mindy Teo found a job at CapitaLand, and it was there that she got into the spirit of volunteerism, with some encouragement from the company.
