Donald K. Johnson, who lobbied for years for the elimination of capital gains taxes on charitable gifts of listed securities, has been named this year's winner of the Edmund C. Bovey Award for leadership support of the arts.
The award, from Business for the Arts - the national association of business leaders who support the arts - recognizes individuals who have worked to boost arts organizations on a long-term basis."
