VANCOUVER -- The charities have already come to New Democratic MLA Diane Thorne to inquire about their share of the pay increase she doesn't want.
Ms. Thorne and the other 32 NDP members of the B.C. Legislature have agreed to donate a 29-per-cent increase to charities in their ridings in a tactic aimed at opposing the raise proposed by an independent government-appointed panel."
