snip snip>>>
"said that the University sector in Ireland continued to be severely under funded; “Our colleges and Universities were saved from penury in the 1990s by philanthropists such as Atlantic Philanthropies and some very generous private individuals. But the need for finance is as acute today as it was then and I would appeal to the new generation of wealthy entrepreneurs in Ireland in particular to show their support for the University sector which is critical to the creation of a true knowledge economy.”"
