Welcome to the March 2007 issue of the Philanthropy UK Newsletter! Our new look represents Philanthropy UK's new brand identity, launched this month.
Why rebrand? There has been much activity in British philanthropy since Philanthropy UK was founded in 2001: budding interest by individuals has been matched by a growing philanthropy infrastructure to support their giving (see our Philanthropy Directory for a full list). There also is more media coverage of philanthropy, and in 2005 Government renewed its commitment to supporting charitable giving, laying out its vision and priorities in A Generous Society.
In light of these significant developments, we decided to update our brand to better reflect our mission and what we do, and to further improve our communications with the giving community.
