FFWD - Calgary News & Views - News - Arts flood fund: Calgary’s arts scene has largely recovered from the 2013 flood, and now it’s time to prepare for the next disaster — fortunately the creative community already has money set aside for a disaster preparedness plan. Alberta Arts Flood Rebuild has disbursed the remaining $198,500 it received in donations and government funding to aid artists and arts organizations impacted by last year’s devastating flood. Of that, $25,000 was given by The Calgary Foundation to create the Arts Disaster Preparedness Plan, and approximately $25,500 will be used to create a special fund at Elephant Artist Relief Society to help artists in crisis.
