Charities hit by very naughty cut | Herald Sun: "Margaret Winterhalder, who is the treasurer of Adelaide-based Charity Connections which gives 79 per cent of the sale price of its Christmas cards and gifts each year to one of 45 charities says some card wholesalers use charities as a marketing tool.
'A lot of card wholesalers are getting on the bandwagon and pressuring charities to lend them their name and I bought one packet of cards that said they returned only 8 per cent of the wholesale price of the card to the charity,' she says.
'That could be as little as 3 cents per card."
