Thousands of Scottish charities could lose their charitable status and face fees after one charity failed a new charity test due to a technicality.
After the Voluntary Action Fund (VAF) was one of eight Scottish charities to face a pilot charity test, due to language issues, lawyers say that most charities formed before 2005 are unlikely to pass the test."
