Melbourne couple behind food charity SecondBite receives World Economic Forum award: "A Melbourne couple behind a charity rescuing leftover fresh food from restaurants and supermarkets have been named the World Economic Forum's social entrepreneurs of the year.

Former state Liberal Party president Ian Carson and his wife, Simone Carson, are to be recognised on Monday for their work with SecondBite along with 31 others in various fields from around the world in the annual awards run by the forum's Schwab Foundation."
