The Southern Africa Institute of Fundraising said at the weekend its members might have lost a combined R55m over the past six months due to disruptions caused to their fundraising efforts.
The institute’s president, Ann Bown, said on Monday that even if mail delivery were to return to normal before Christmas, many organisations were still likely to have to push their festive season fundraising into the new year."
