THE Salvation Army is calling on Australians to be generous despite the tough economic times, hoping to raise $73 million from its 2009 Red Shield Appeal.
The doorknock will be held on the weekend of May 23 and 24, with the money raised to help fund the Salvation Army's support programs, including crisis accommodation, employment, counselling and addiction recovery services."
