School in a Bag charity reaches million pound milestone | Blackmore Vale Magazine: "A south Somerset based charity is celebrating after reaching its £1million milestone in its tenth anniversary year.
School in a Bag is an initiative run by the Piers Simon Appeal at Chilthorne Domer that was set up in memory of Piers who died in the Tsunami on Boxing Day 2004. A collection at his memorial raised £10,000 and contributions were made to disaster victims in 13 countries during the next five years. It continues to deliver aid worldwide to disaster victims."
