Grant-giving charity Devon Community Foundation has been given the cash to help support community groups and kick-start investment in community projects.

Voluntary groups already on the frontline in tackling social exclusion and building better communities in Torbay and South Devon will be able to apply for their share of additional grants, worth around £180,000.

Money will also be used to help encourage businesses to donate to local causes by providing match funding."
