Altruism is catching on in India: "According to the recently outed Forbes Heroes of Philanthropy in Asia 2011, an annual survey which surveyed 300 HNWIs (high net worth individuals) worldwide and honoured 48, no less than four top donors are from India. These include billionaire Azim Premji of Wipro, Shiv Nadar of HCL Technologies, corporate honcho Mallikarjuna Rao and Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi."
